Melkovitz, aged 60, of Keo (Lonoke County) died Saturday when the plane he was flying hit a powerline and went down in a ricefield just outside of Coy, Arkansas. He was a farmer, veteran of World War II, a member of the Confederate Air Force, Plumb Bayou Levee Board, Verterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors are his wife, Martha Westbrook Melkovitz; a son, Doug Melkovitz of Keo; a daughter, Mary Anne Aday of Keo; three sisters, Josephine Cleary of New Haven, Ct., Sue Vajcar and Jane Wagner of Freehold, N.J. and a grandaughter, Erica Aday. Funeral arrangements will be announced by England Funeral Home. My name is Doug Melkovitz. This Obituary is for my father who died on April 20, 1985. He was a resident of Keo Arkansas.
