Died Wednesday January 04, 1967 in BINH DINH, SOUTH VIETNAM. as the result of gunshot wound received in hostile ground action. Body was recovered. Survivors include his mother, Lillie Kiefer of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, father, John Kiefer of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a sister Shirley of Rockford, IL, five brothers, Robert of Fort Smith, Paul of Rockford, IL., James and John of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and Thomas of the US Navy; and his grandmother Amanda Isabelle "Belle" Riggs of Rt. 1 Hoxie, Ark. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, neices and nephews. Funeral was held Saturday, January 14, 1967 in the chapel of Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Jim E. Tillman officiating.
