The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Obituary, Herald Democrat, Clarksville, Johnson Co., Arkansas about April 14, 1932 Mrs. Mary Stovall Dies Friday At Daughter's Home in Lamar Mrs. Mary Stovall, pioneer citizen of Johnson county, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Russell at Lamar, after an illness of many weeks. She was born July 8, 1852 and was the second daughter of a family of ten children all of whom lived to be grown. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaylock came to this county from North Carolina about the year 1847. Funeral services was conducted at the home in Lamar, Saturday afternoon with Rev. Harris, pastor of the Methodist church, Lamar, officiating. Burial was made in the Lamar cemetery. Mrs. Stovall is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Russell of Lamar, Mrs. John T. Simmons of this city, Miss Max Stovall of Little Rock; three sons, Lester Stovall of west Clarksville, Walter Stovall of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Ferguson of Poteau, Okla., Mesdames N. E. Harris and Mattie Lewis of this city; two brothers, John Blaylock of Muldrow, Okla., and Robert Blaylock of Checotah, Okla. Transcriber notes: The third son mentioned but not named was Jesse C. Stovall, in my notes born & died in 1873. Her actual date of death was April 8, 1932. There is no date on the obituary clipping, but it is presumed to be the following Thursday edition. Mrs. Stovall's husband was Jacob Perry Stovall, 08/22/1851 - 12/03/1920, married 03/14/1872 in Johnson Co., AR. ************************************************************************
