ETTA SIMMONS Funeral Service for Mrs. Etta Simmons To Be Held Tuesday Mrs. Etta Simmons prominent Johnson countain died at the home of her daughter. Mrs Charles Clemmons two miles west of here, early Monday morning Sept. 21. Born August 1, at Opelika, Ala. Mrs Simmons was 84 years old. She moved to Arkansas in 1880 and was married to F. M. Simmons in Nov., 1883 She was the mother of eight children, five of who are living. Mrs. Simmons is survived by two daughters, Miss Hattie Simmons and Mrs. Clemmons of Clarksville: three sons, John T. and Willliam H. Simmons of Clarksville and L.R. Simmons of Phoenix Ariz. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at the Shady Grove Church at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. O'Neal of the Atkins Baptist church and the Rev. James T. Draper, pastor of the First Baptist church, Clarksville. Burial will be in the Shady Grove cemetery with the Hardwick funeral home directing. Active pallbearers are Virgil Kob, B.B. Logan, Cecil Clinton, Bill Yandall, H.H. Patteson and H.P. Pierce. ************************************************************************
