Stegall Milzie M. Stegall, aged 49 died Thursday at the home of his sister, Mrs. B. F. Carter at Stegall, after a lingering illness of several months. He was born, July 9 1879, of this county on a plantation near Newport, where he has resided since. He was the oldest son of the late P. P. Stegall who passed to the beyond several years ago and Mrs. Mary V. Stegall, who passed away two months ago. He was a member of the Masonic Order. He was highly esteemed throughout the membership of this society and the society feels it has lost not only an earnest worker but a loving and valuable friend. He had won for himself a place in the hearts of many and numerous lives have been made happier becaused he lived. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife Mrs. Virgie Stegall, two sons Perry and M. L. and 4 duaghters Vera, Eithel, Marjorie, and Juanita Stegall, one sister, Mrs. B. F. Carter all of Stegall. An Aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Brabbzson, of Tuckerman, besides a host of other relatives. He was laid to rest Friday afternoon at Parrott Cemetery, funeral services conducted by Rev. Eli Craig of this place, after which the Masonic Order of Grubbs and Newport had charge of services. If everybody around Tuckerman would read their Bibles as much as they read mail order catalogues, we'd have the most religious community in the United States.
