She was born on March 29, 1923 at Boswell, Ark., the daughter of Earl and Hester (Mayfield) Jeffery. She and Arthur Eulon Gillihan were united in marriage on March 21, 1944 at San Louis Obispo, Calif. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Mountain View. Survivors include her husband, Arthur of the home; six daughters, Lois Walters of Morris, Okla., Evelyn Bledsaw of Danville, Ark., Vivian Berry of Fordyce, Ark., Phyllis Hood of Havana, Ark., Rosemary Kenney of Burmuda and Connie Bell of Lamar, Ark.; One son, Robert Gillihan of Mtn. View; five sisters, Pauline Russell of Mtn. Home, Iva Trice of Athens, Ga., Nancy Sheffield, of Melbourne, Eloise Oliver of Camden, and Attie Rush of Brockwell; four brothers, Clarence Jeffery of Franklin, Walton Jeffery of Bastrap, La., Robert Jeffery of Boisier City, LA., and Paul Jeffery of Liberty, Mo.; nine-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were Monday, April 17, at 2:00 p.m. in Howard Chapel in Melbourne with Frank Curtis officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery at Melbourne under the directions of Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne. Pallbearers were Bobby Earl Sheffield, Boyce Jeffery, Noel Jeffery, Paul Gillihan, Jeffery Jeffery and Edwin Watt.
