He was a retired Senior Master Sgt. with 26 yers in the USAF and was the owner of Golden Moter Sales for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred. Survivors include one sone and daughter in law, Philip and Trudy Golden of Jacksonville; one daughter and son inlaw, Marsha and Floyd Friedman of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Ryan and Craig Friedman and Anthony and Kevin Golden. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 30, 10 a.m., at the Landmark Baptist Church wih Rev. Lynn Baxter officiating. Interment was in Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson. MYRTLE FRANCIS HAMM Myrtle Francis Hamm, 83, of Arkadelphia died Thursday, July 31, 1997, at the Pineview Care Center in Gurdon. She was born April 14, 1914 in Piney to the late J.J. and Lucinda Freeman Francis. She was a retired quality control inspector at the Hollywood Vasserette and a member of the Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Hamm. Survivors include two sons, Eldon Lee Hamm of Okolona and Sammy Joe Hamm of Malvern; two brothers, Guy Francis of Arkadelphia and J.R. Francis of Morrilton; one sister, Flora Leoffler of ElDorado; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 2, 2 p.m., at the Third Street Baptist Church with Rev. Temon Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. He was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Malvern to the late Roy and Carrie Moore Petty. He was retared form the Maintenance Department of Precision Industries, a World War II medic in the U>S> Army, a member of the American Legion Post #1 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Malvern. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Lee. Survivors include his wife, Mary Pye Petty; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Petty of Ventura, Calif., and Rodney and Cathy Petty of Malvern; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Bobby Otts of Malvern; one brother, James Petty of Malvern; one sister, Frances Wheat of Malvern; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was born March 6, 1952, at Rolla to the late Andy and Martha Gilbert Westfall. She was an LPN for the Benton Services Center and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by one step-son, William Eugene Ennis. She was born June 3, 1918, at Malvern to the late William R. and Louisa Cunningham Sesser. She was a retired nurse and was of the Baptist faith. Whe was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Fowler. He was born July 17, 1909, at Brown Springs, to the late Henry and Gussie Hixon Davidson. He was a heavy equipment operator for the International Paper Co., and of the Baptist faith. She was born April 6, 1911, in Tamo. She lived in Little Rock a number of years before moving to Malvern where she was a member of St. Paul's Church of God in Christ. There is no immediate family but friends, Thomas and Ida Mae Smith of Perla. Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m., at the Masonic Cemetery with Elder Billy McCoy, pastor of St. Paul Church of God in Christ officiating.
