Born in Concord, New Hampshire, Aug. 7, 1966, she was a lifetime resident of the area, Baptist and worked as a housekeeper. Survivors include her husband, Gene Woodall of Story; one son, Joshua Woodall of Story; one daughter, Jennifer Woodall of Story; her mother and step-father, Mary and Cecil Crumby of Hot Springs; one brother, William Melancen of Hot Springs; and two sisters, Myra Golden and Rhonda Anderson, both of Hot Springs. A retired logger, he was born Sept. 16, 1995, at a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Tillery of Hot Springs; two sons, Everett Tillery and James Tillery and his wife, Betty, all of Hot Springs; three daughters and husbands, Linda and Virgil Blaylock of Branson, Missouri, Nina and Bill Crabtree of Hot Springs and Pat and Bill Morgan of Alexander; one brother, Gilbert Tillery of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren nieces and nephews; and friends, George and Ollie Breashears. Houser, 85, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, at his home. A Hot Springs native, he was a sergeant in the U. S. Army Air Corps, Mason and Member and choir director at Southern Baptist Church. He owned automotive repair shops and a radiator shop, worked as a mechanic for Hanna Nickel and park attendant with the Douglas County (Oregon) Parks Department. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ruth Housley Houser. Survivors include three brothers, Ernest Houser and Doyle Houser of Hot Springs and Dale Houser of Arkadelphia; a sister, Ruby Sorrells of Royal; his children and their spouses, Shirley Anderson, Frieda and Jerry Henson, John and Shirley Houser and Sally Witt, all of Oregon; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. **************** ARGUS D. Formerly of Malvern, she was born April 11, 1898 at Price Station to Solomon and Etta Burton Nuesch. She was a principal retired from Field’s Elementary School, a member of Third Baptist Church, PEO, American Legion auxiliary, Hot Spring Historical Society, NEA and trustee of the Hot Spring County Library. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn E. Fields. Survivors include a son, Sanford E. Fields of Memphis; a brother, George Nuesch of Malvern; two sisters, Nordelia Phelan of Malvern and Martha Riley of California; two grandsons, Dr. Dan Fields of Russellville and Dr. Brad Fields of Jonesboro; and seven great- grandchildren. She was born May 30, 1920, in Hot Springs; graduated from Hot Springs High School and attended Garland County Community College. She was an artist and taught pottery at the Hot Springs Art Center. Survivors include one sister; Mary Sue Williams of Columbus, Georgia; and one brother, Jim Westfall of Oklahoma City. There will be no services. The body was cremated. ********************** VIRGINIA E. WILLINGHAM BENTON -- Virginia Estell Willingham, 62, of Benton died Friday, Aug. 18, 1995, at a Little Rock hospital. She was born may 2, 1933, at Stuttgart to Roy and Opal Condrey Whatley. She was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and a nurse retired from Saline Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Billy F. Willingham of Malvern; a son, Billy Dewayne Willingham of Yuma, Ariz.; two daughters, Donna Jean Austin of Malvern and Deborah Karen Willingham of Heber Springs; a brother, Rev. Roy J. Cross, 71, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, in a local nursing home. He was born in Hot Springs June 9, 1924, to Helen and Fred Cross. Sr. He attended the University of Arkansas, served in the U. S. Army Medical Corps during World War Ii and was a manufacturers’ representative and member of First Presbyterian Church, Elks Lodge 380 and Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Survivors include his wife, Trudy Cross; a sister, Mary H. Cross; a brother, J. Fred Cross; a stepdaughter, Sela C. Miller and a stepson, Blake Miller, all of Hot Springs. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Hollywood Cemetery with Dr. Earl Wiggins officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home. ALFRED RAY HOLLOWELL, Sr. with picture ******************** HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, ARKANSAS -- Alfred Ray Hollowell Sr. 61, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, at a Little Rock hospital following heart surgery in mid-July. He was born April 28, 1934, in Wayne County, N. C. He was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist church where he served on the finance committee. Ray was retired from Weyerhauser Company after 35 years of service; a graduate of North Carolina State University; and served in the Navy ROTC and Army. During his tenure at Weyerhauser, Ray helped build the tree improvement and nursery resources that supported high yield forestry. He touched many lives with his insight, patience and teaching. Ray loved his beach and his barbeque. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Magee Hollowell of Hot Springs; one son, Alfred R. Hollowell Jr. of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Sandra Hollowell McGalliard of Morganton ,North Carolina (N.C.); four grandchildren, Charity, Joshua, Sara and Caleb McGalliard of Morganton, N.C.; parents, Russell and Betty Hollowell of Atlantic Beach, N. C.; mother, Louise Brown Brooks of Holdens Beach, N. C.; sister, Jolene McCann of Morehead City, N. C.; brothers, Gene Hollowell of Atlantic Beach, N. C., and Mitch Barefoot of Dunn, N. C.; one aunt, Margie Clark of Tarboro, N. C.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 2963 Airport Road, Hot Springs. Another memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at First United Methodist Church, Morehead, N. C. The family is receiving visitors at their home.
