FREDERICK W. FREITAG
Services for Frederick W. Freitag, 83, who died Friday, Oct 15, 1982, will be
11 a.m. today at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Royall 
A. Vount Jr. officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ed Bouse, Pete Burtness, Parker Ekren, Don Heck, John Hovde, 
and Ralph Peterson.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Gross Funeral Home.
Tha family will be at 320 Shawnee Rd.

LOUIS PRYOR
Louis Pryor, 86, died Sunday, Oct 17, 1982, at his home.
He was a native of Saline County, and had lived in the Malvern area all his life. 
He was a retired school superintendent and a prominent educator. He was a member 
of the American Association of retired Persons, and was a Mason 32nd degree.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Pryor of Glen Rose; a son, Louis Ray Pryor of 
Glen Rose; a daughter, Faye Hatahway of Gen Rose; three grandchildren; and seven 
great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairplay Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Fairplay Cemetery under the direction of Atkinson Funeral 
Home.

CLAUDE E. REYNOLDS
Claude E. Reynolds, 83, died Saturday, Oct 16, 1982, at his home.
He was born in Hot Spring County and had lived in Garland County for most of his 
life. He was a retired construction worker and was a member of the Lake Hamilton 
Baptist Church.
Survivors includ a son, J.E. Reynolds of Hot Springs, two sisters, Adell Casey of 
Ozark and Ruby Arcuri of California, and two grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel, with the
Rev. Richard L. Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Loy, Roger Faihtinger, Bud McGuire, Lawrence Bledsoe, 
Darrell Lynn, and Bob Ward.
Burial will be in Fouche Loupe Cemetery.

ELLA GENEVA SINGLETON
Ella Geneva Singeton, 59, died Saturday, Oct 16, 1982. A native of Oden, 
she was a housewife and a member of the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by three sons, R. L. Singleton and Tommy Singleton of Hot 
Springs, and Larry Singleton of Winchester, Arkansas, her mother, Manie Fair,
of Hot Springs, two sisters, Velma Cuchowski of Tulare, California, and 
Thelma Standrige of Bakersfield, California, and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church,
with the Rev. M.L. Shields officiating.
Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery in Oden.
Pallbearers will be Charles Love, Delton Hughes, Joe Hughes, Floyd Singleton, 
Freddy Fair, and Billy Fair.

CLARENCE L. WATERS
Services for Clarence L. Waters, 69, who died Saturday, Oct 16, 1982, will 
be 2 p.m. today at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dwayne White
officiating.
Members of Hot Springs lodge 3880 B.P.O. Elks, will conduct services immediately
following the religious service.
Pallbearers will be George Felts, O.O. Chaney, Bill Cain, and Clark McCowan.
Honorary pallbearers are Paul C. Mazzola, Stanley D. McCaslin Jr., Thomas
Williams, Al Childs, Henry M. Cain, Dr. Tim McCowan, and Dr. C.R. Lovell.
Burial will be in Smith Creek Cemetery.

ADA B. WOODS
Ada B. Woods, 83, of Mount Ida, died Sunday, Oct 17, 1982, at a Hot Springs 
hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Montgomery County. She was a 
housewife, and a Methodist.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Edna McDade of Benton; a brother, Claude 
Jones of Mount Ida; a sister, Nell Bush of Mount Ida; and two great-grand
-children.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at the Jones-O'Neal Cemetery under
the direction of Thornton Funeral Services. The Rev. Bill Singleton will
officiate.
Pallbearers will be James Earl Jones, Daniel Black, Charlie Jones, Sammy
Jones, Eddie Jones, and Bill Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Jack, Pat, Bill and Jake Egleston, Clifford White 
and Everett White.

JAY WARREN ANGLE
Jay Warren Angle, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 16, in a local hospital.
He was born in Hot Springs and lived here most of his life. He was the son of
the late J.W.Angle Sr., co-founder of the Arkansas Bank & Trust Co., and Ella
Boone Angle.
He graduated from Blair Academy, Blairstown, New Jersey and from Lafayette
College in Pennsylvania in 1917 and was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity.
He was a veteran of World War I, saw action at Belleau Woods, Chateau Thierry
and Soissons with the Sixth Regiment Second Divison of the Marine Corps and
was also in Germany. He was in the Dept. of Commerce and Dept. of Agriculture
in Washington, D.C. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and Warren
Towsend Post 13, American Legion.
Survivors include a nephew, Clarence B. "Bud" Schaefer Jr., Laguna Beach, 
California.
Arrangements will be announced by Gross Funeral Home.

FLORA E. BUTLER
Flora E. Butler, 72, died Saturday, October 16, 1982, in Springdale. She was
a housewife.
Survivors include five sons, Carroll Edward Butler of Reno, Nevada, Donald Butler, 
Raymond Butler, Jewell Butler, and Larry Butler, all of Springdale,
four daughters, Laverne Clemons of Arkansas Pass, Texas, Nora Mae Barton of Reno, 
Nevada, Meredith Ann Galbreath of Bayside, Texas and Karen Butler of Springdale, 
Three sisters, Ella Hawthorne of Hot Springs, Minnie Porter of Escondido, 
California, Etta Holland of Ceres, California; three brothers,
Jesse T. Layne of Hot Springs, Arthur W. Smith of Hot Springs and James Hardy 
Layne of Malvern; and several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren;
also several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Caruth Funeral Home Chapel with the 
Rev. Billy Sanders officiating.
Burial will be in the Bismark Cemetery under the direction of Caruth Funeral Home.

SANDRA G. MCGILL
Sandra G. McGill, 46 died Monday, Oct.18, 1982, in a local hospital.
She was born at Trenton, Tennessee, and had resided in Hot Springs for the
past 3 years. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Allen D. Blurton, Milan, Tennessee, three 
daughters, Cynthia Gail Pool of Trenton, Tennessee, Debra Darlene Gunnells,
Trenton, Tennessee, and Jennie Aleine McGill of Searcy, two brothers, Tim
W. Creasy of McKinsey, Tennessee, and David F. Creasy, Dallas; three sisters,
Anita Abbott, Smyrna, Tennessee, Betsy L. Dycus, Bradford, Tennessee, and
Linda June Carter of West Palm Beach, Florida; her mother, Betty I. Copeland
and her stepfather, Billy H. Copeland of McKinsey, Tennessee, and four
grandchildren; and 27 nieces and nephews.
She will be returned to the Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, Tennessee, for
services and burial.
Local arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home.

LONSDALE--A.M. Quinn, 68, of Lonsdale, died Sunday, Oct 17, 1982
He was the owner of Quinn's Shoe Stores in Little Rock and North Little Rock
and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Quinn; one son, Frank Quinn of Conway; one
daughter, Janice Southwell of Houston, Texas; one sister, Wilma Keeton of
Little Rock , and five grandchildren.

DOYLE WILBURN
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- Grand Ole Opry star Doyle Wilburn, 52, died Saturday,
Oct. 16, 1982
A native of Hot Springs, he was best known in Arkansas for sharing the
Wilburn Brothers' duo with Teddy Wilburn.
He started his music career performing over Hot Springs radio station KBHS.
He also helped launch the career of country singer Loretta Lynn.
He is survived by a sister, Geraldine Grisham of Hot Springs; three brothers,
Teddy and Lester Wilburn of Nashville and Leslie Wilburn of Franklin,
Tennessee; a daughter, Sharon Stevens of Germany; and his mother, B.E. Kadie
Wilburn of Nashville.

Nellie May Adamson, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1982, in a local hospital.
She was born in Montgomery County and had resided in Garland County for the
past 43 years. She was a member of the Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Floyd Adamson of Paris, Arkansas, Clayton 
Adamson of Richfield, Minnesota, and Robert Earl Adamson of Las Vegas, Nevada, 
two daughters, Velma Spurlin of Hot Springs and Irene Whitlow of
Plainview, a sister, Ethel Standerfer of Hot Springs, 16 grandchildren, 35
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Gross Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Services for Noble G. Atkinson, 66, who died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1982, will
be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Eureka Baptist Church, 721 Gaines Ave., with the Rev.
K.L. Newburn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Mitchell, Walter Wright, Brown Atkinson, Alphonzo
Barron, Ernest Greenwood, Early Marbly, Sylvester Weatherspoon and Bob

MALVERN -- Richard Lee Reynolds, 66, died Oct. 23, 1982, at his home.
He was a native and life resident of Malvern and was a retired city employee.
He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Reynolds, three sons, Richard Reynolds Jr. 
of Donaldson, Jimmy Reynolds and Forrest Reynolds, both of Malvern, one
sister, Donnie Levford of Pilot Point, Texas, and two grandchildren.
