BROWN ************** Wilma C. Brown, 82, of Hot Springs died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997, at her residence. Born Jan. 23, 1915, in Sherrard, West Virginia, she was a homemaker and predeceased by her parents, Iva Viretta Peterson Conner and Hansen L. Conner. Survivors include her brother, Lonzo Conner of Sherrard; her sister, Wanda Baker of Moundsville, West Virginia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wed. at Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. D. Hooper officiating. Pallbearers will be J. E. Lewis, George Meggers, Gary Brown, Charles Graham and Bill Richardson. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. BROOKS *************** MALVERN--Hazel Amanda Brooks, 85, of Malvern died Wed., Feb. 5, 1997, in a nursing home. Born April 11, 1911, to James Mansfield and Ida Walker Bishop, she was a retired textile mill weaver and member of North Malvern Assembly of God Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Worthy Brooks. Survivors include six nieces, Ruby Stanfiell, Margaret Davenport, Kathyleen Chapman, LaVerne Burris and Evagene Douglas, all of Malvern, and Opal Yount of Oklahoma City; nieces; and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Harp Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Bland officiating. Born April 10, 1914, at Cedar Glades, she was a homemaker and member of Grand Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James W. Caldwell of Hot Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Waldo & Margaret Caldwell, Theodore & Bonnie Caldwell and Junior Lee & Tina Caldwell, all of Hot Springs; a son Glen Caldwell of Hot Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Wilma & Delmer Robertson of Hot Springs; four sisters-in-law, Lois Roberts and Illa Robertson, both of Hot Springs, Sally Bostwick of Oklahoma, Rugh Sharp of Mountain Pine; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. BREWSTER ****************** Jewel H. Brewster, 75, of Hot Springs died Sat., Feb. 8, 1997, in a local hospital. Born Oct. 6, 1921, he retired from Reynolds Metals after 33 yrs. and was a member of Grand Ave. Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Violet F. Brewster of Hot Springs; five daughters, Janice Brewster Cucco, and her two children, David Alan and Stefanie Leigh, all of Pearland, Texas, Nina Williams of Jonesboro and Lynn Young, Jonne Dsoter and Jeannie Huegel, all of Hot Springs; one son, Rex Curtis of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Whitlock officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Hammers, Dorman Castle Jr., John M. Doster, Greg Huegel, Eugene Harris and Regan Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Simmons, Gene Simmons, Burt Burton, Preston Garner, Glen Taylor and Lee Buck. Born Sept. 10, 1955, at Hot Springs, he was a lifetime resident. Services will be 11 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church with Pastor John Beyer officiating. Pallbearers will be Scotty Dodd, Gene Short, Ken Newsome, George Bazinet, James Garroutte and William Fires. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
