Brown, 47, of Hot Springs died Mon., Nov. 30, 1992, in a local hospital. She was a housewife and member of Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Brown of Hot Springs; two daughters, Verna Hamrik of Bellville and Shawn Brown Dearmon of Hot Springs; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ordis Ennis of Bluffton; two brothers, Larry Ennis and Gary Ennis, both of Bluffton; a sister, Joyce Ennis Smith of Blufton; three grandchildren, Kenneth Moody, Johnithan Smith and Robert Moody. KATHERINE L. LINDSEY MABELVALE -- Kathrine Looper Lindsey, 56, of Mabelvale died Sat., Nov. 28, 1992. She was born Oct. 24, 1936, at Bismarck and for 34 years worked for Ark. Employment Security Division. She belonged to Central Baptist Church, Little Rock. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Lindsey of Mabelvale; her father, Doyle Looper of Malvern; a brother, Charles Looper of Texarkana, Tx.; and two sisters, Margaret Causbie of Paron and Dorothy Morris of Little Rock. Services will be 10 a.m. Tues. in the Roller-Drummond Southwest Funeral Chapel, Little Rock, with the Rev. M. L. Moser officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. THOMAS J. MATTINGLEY LONOKE -- Thomas Jacob Mattingley, 71, of Lonoke died Sat., Nov. 28, 1992, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a farmer. Survivors include two brothers, Julian Mattingly of Hot Springs, and George Mattingley of Pittsburg, Pa.; and four sisters, Annabelle Ellers and Carlyn Mattingley, both of Hot Springs, Laura Salvato of Chicago and Pauline Stevens of San Antonio. The body will be cremated. Caruth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. INEZ SHACKLEFORD PEARCY -- Inez Shackleford, 86, of Pearcy died Sun., Nov. 29, 1992, at her residence. She was born April 29, 1906, in Hempwallace Community to Ruben Alexander Wright and Cora Ann Wright. She was a former teacher and a homemaker. Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Hall and Lena Whitfield, both of Pearcy; two nieces, Shirley Hobby and Lynn Napier, both of Pearcy; one nephew, Kenneth Murl Whitfield of Pearcy; five great-nephews, Doug Hobby, Greg Hobby, Johnny Whitfield, Eric Napier and Zack Napier, all of Pearcy; and two great-nieces, Helen Bates and Delana Dockery, both of Pearcy. The family will be in the Hall residence on Sunshine Road. MARGIE O. SHORT Margie Olevia Short, 72, of hot Springs died Mon., Nov. 30, 1992, in a local hospital. She was a secretary retired from Fountain Lake High School and a member of Park Place Baptist Church and Eastern Star, Whittington Lodge. Survivors include her husband, Clyde J. Short of Hot Springs; two sons, Dan Short of Russellville and Ted Short of Hot Springs; a brother, F.M. “Jack” McKinley of Benton; and four granddaughters, Amanda, Carie, Lana and Katie Short. Arrangements will be announced by Caruth Funeral Home. TESSIE L. SPIVA Tessie Lee Spiva, 47, of Hot Springs died Sun., Nov. 29, 1992, in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of the area, a nursing assistant and a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, James A. Spiva of Hot Springs; a son, Samuel G. Robinson Jr. of North Charleston, S.C.; three daughters, Daphne M. Abbott of Jonesboro and Georgia M. Harrison and Diana R.M. LELAND W. TAYLOR HAYNESVILLE, LA. -- Leland Wilson Taylor, 66, of Haynesville, La., died Sat., Nov. 28, 1992. He was born May 12, 1926, in Bodcaw. He was a WW II Navy veteran and retired from the oil business. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Taylor of Magnolia; one daughter, Lana Taylor of Magnolia; his companion, Betty Weathers of Hot Springs; two step-daughters, Judy Jenkins of Little Rock and Sonja Roberts of Hot Springs; two step-grandchildren, James T. Blackwood and Christina A. Roberts, both of Hot Springs. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia, 420 Jackson st. The body will be cremated. MARGUERITE TRAXLER Marguerite Traxler, 97, of Hot Springs died Sun., Nov. 29, 1992, at a local nursing home. She was a homemaker and a 50-year resident of this area, a member of Pulaski Heights Eastern Star and a former Little Rock resident. Survivors include her daughter, Beatrice Traxler Fielding of Royal; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three gr-gr-grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by Hot Springs Funeral Home. JAMES E. COLLINS LITTLE ROCK -- James Edward Collins, 63, of jones Mills died Mon., Nov. 30, 1992, in a Little Rock hospital. He was born July 17, 1929, in Des Arc to Horace Collins and Francis Dunlap Collins. He retired from Reynolds Metals Co., belonged to the Church of God and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Reba Harkins Collins of Jones Mills; two sons, Allen Collins of Jones Mills and Mike Collins of Malvern; two brothers, John Collins and J. C. Collins, both of Malvern; one sister, Betty Collins of Malvern; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thurs. in the Atkinson Funeral Home chapel. CLAUDE DUNSON LANGLEY -- Claude Dunson, 89, of Langley died Tues., Dec. 1, 1992, in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1903, in Langley, to Jesse Elbert Dunson and Eda Morphew Dunson. He married Alice Rainwater April 8, 1939. He was a member of Daisy Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Alice Dunson of Langley; one son, Terry Dunson; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Dunson of Langley; one grandson, John Dunson of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; one granddaughter, Theresa Prince of Bismarck; one great-greaddaughter, Dana Stevens of Bismarck; and nieces and nephews. Arrangements will be announced by Hot Springs Funeral Home. DOROTHY R. RUDOLPH ARKADELPHIA -- Dorothy Roe Rudolph, 90, of Arkadelphia died Tues., Dec. 1, 1992, in a local hospital. Formerly of Gurdon, she was born March 30, 1902, to William Frank and Addie Nelson Roe. She was co-owner of Rudolph & Co. in Gurdon for years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia. She was the widow of Franklin Henry Rudolph and was predeced in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rudolph Smith. Survivors include one son, Pete Rudolph of Arkadelphia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thurs. in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon with the Rev. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include three brothers, Grady Chambers of Hot Springs, Homer Chambers of Phoenix, Ariz., and Orville Chambers of Visalia, Calif.; one sister, Vera Phillips of Visalia; and one sister-in-law, Bertie “Ann” Chambers of Dallas. He was born in Mabelvale to Fredrick and Meta (Meyer) Reutz. A WW II veteran, he was a retired carpenter. He was retired from Camper deVille and was a member of Assembly of God Church and Malvern Senior Adult Center, where he participated in its Hee Haw Gang. D.; to Frank and Bertha Pauls Wolkow. She was a resident of Milwaukee for many yrs. and was a factory inspector for General Motors Corp. for more than 35 yrs. She has been a resident of Hot Springs Village since 1979 and was a member of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her sister, Della Harmann.
