Page 5 - Thursday, June 15, 1995 OBITUARIES MISS LENA M. HESS ***************** Miss Lena M. Hess, 86, of Conway died Wednesday, (June 14, 1995), at The Heritage Center in Conway. Born Aug. 19, 1908, in Conway, a daughter of John and Annie Hartman Hess. She owned and operated Hess Sewing shop in Conway for 40 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the church's Christian Ladies Society and the Homemakers Club. She is survived by a sister, Louise Stiefvater of Conway; and two nieces and five nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony McKay officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Hess, Bob Hogan, Jim Stiefvater, Ralph Stiefvater, Ray Stiefvater, and Mark Stiefvater. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Church Endowment Fund. HOMER LEE HERRING ***************** Homer Lee Herring, 59, of Mayflower died Wednesday (June 14, 1995) at his residence. Born Oct. 15, 1925, at Brummitt (Lonoke County), a son of Mary Altimis Blacklaw Herring of Conway and the late Evert Herring. He was a self-employed truck driver, a Korean War veteran and a Baptist. Other survivors are his wife, Mary Anne Bradshaw Herring; two daughters, Alice Smith of Benton and Pamela Coffman of Conway; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dwire Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev. Don Robinson officiating. The body will be cremated. Interment will be at Pinecrest Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Baptist Hospice. TODARO LEE LASKER ***************** Todaro Lee Lasko, 22, of Conway died Tuesday (June 13, 1995) in a vehicle accident south of Conway. Born Sept 16, 1972, in Conway, a son of Curtis Cohen of Las Vegas and Exia Lasker Maltbia of Conway. He was an electronic technician and member of Morrilton Church of Christ. Other survivors are two brothers, Corey Lasker of Conway and Kareem Cohen of Twice Groves; two sisters, Nena Ray of Conway and Alicia Cohen of Dallas; and his stepfather, Larry Maltbia of Conway. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Conway with Ernest Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Ray Cemetery south of Conway. Visitation is from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Veasley Funeral Home in Conway.
