All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Richard David Blackwell January 1936 Log Cabin Deomcrat Richard David Blackwell, 74, farmer, died from a heart attack early today at his home, 327 Locust Avenue. Mr. Blackwell lived about 2 hours after he was stricken. He was born Sept. 8, 1861 in Oxford, MS, and had lived in Faulkner Co since a young man. He was married to Miss Lucy (Nancy Louisa) Mabry at Hollard in 1884. Mrs. Blackwell died during the pneumonia seige here last winter, January 29, 1936. Mr. Blackwell is survived by 2 sons, Edgar and Billie Blackwell of Conway; four daughters, Miss Cora Blackwell of Conway, Mrs. Guy A. (Adele) Simmons, Jr. of Little Rock, Mrs. L.P. (Lillian Pearl) Fugatt and Mrs. Gertrude Fulmer of Vilonia, and a brother C.S. Blackwell of Wooster. Funeral services from the family home tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. by Dr. E.P.J. Garrott, pastor of the First Baptist church, and interment made in Macedonia cemetery in charge of Doolin's funeral home.
