McGehee, Sept. 27. -- Loyd Dean Shaw, aged 21, of Watson (Desha County)
was injured fatally Saturday at Bakersfield, Cal., when he was hit by a
car. He was a native of Watson and had been at Bakersfield only two
days. Survivors include his parents, Rev. and Mrs. J.W. Shaw of Watson,
five brothers, J.W. Shaw, Jr. and
David Shaw, both of Watson, Eugene Shaw of New Mexico, Calvin Shaw of
California and Alvin Shaw of Mountain Pine (Garland County), and a
sister, Mrs. Kenneth Holmes of Tacoma, Wash. Funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Friday at the Watson Assembly of God Church by Rev. Luther Bates and
Rev. Frank Thomas. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery by Dyer Funeral 
Service.
