One of those unaccountable cases of self destruction occurred wednesday about two and a half miles north of Van Buren. Watt TURNER a young farmer about 25 years of age, without any reason, took morphine that afternoon with suicidal intend and died from the effects of it the next morning about 3 o'clock. It isn't known where he procured the deadly drug. Dr LUCAS, who was called to attend him about 8 o'clock that evening found on his arrival that Turner was beyond help, but exhausted every means in his power to revive him until he died. Turner had only been married some 8 or 9 months and his domestic relations were happy and as his health was good no good cause could be found for the suicide, though he was of a pessimistic turn and had on several occasions stated that death would be a welcome relief from his troubles, but no one had paid attention to this. W. T. TURNER born 8-8-1867 died 7-29-1897 Husband of Almeda FORDHAM, Father of Eunice (Mrs. P.B. COLEMAN of Rudy, AR.
