All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ******************************************************************************** Press Argus Courier - Crawford Co. - September 18, 1970 VB YOUTH KILLED IN CRASH THURSDAY Funeral services for Larry Houston Brown, 18, Star Route, Van Buren, victim of a car accident in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, were held Monday morning in the Ocker Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jewell Morris and Dr. Gower of Phoenix, Arizona officiating. Burial was in Gill Cemetery with Ocker Funeral Home in charge. Brown was employed in a Fort Smith Service Station and was on his way to visit relatives in Ajo Arizona. He is survived by his father, Houston Brown of Ajo, Arizona: his mother Mrs. Emma Gene Brown of Star Route, Van Buren: two brothers, Danny of VB, and Marlin of the home: 2 sisters, Sharon Elaine and Sarah of the home: maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. James and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Brown: maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Casey of Spiro Oklahoma. Active pallbearers were Harold Anderson, Herby Anderson, Tim Brewer, David Miller, Jerry Peters, Robert White, Tommy Floyd, Jimmy House and Bill Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Patterson, Jerl Casey, Bill DeWitt, Albert Stephens, Leamon Stephens, Odis Stephens, Bill Cumpton, Odell Bennett, John James, Odell Babb, Denver Brown, James Brewer, Forrest House and Harold Tipton.
