Note:  Two brothers, Aubrey and James W., were mistakenly given the
surname of Smith.  Hanson was their surname.

Mrs. Smith
Mrs. Irene Smith, who would have been 51 Wednesday, died this morning 
at 7:10 in her home, 1506 East Matthews.

Surviving are her husband, Billie Smith; three sons, Vondas Smith of
Jonesboro, Johnny and O'Neil Smith of Memphis; three brothers, Floyd
Hanson of Brookland Route 1, Aubrey Smith of Jonesboro, and James W.
Smith of Memphis, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
Bible Hour Tabernacle by Rev. T. Richard Reed.  Burial will be in Union
Grove Cemetery north of Jonesboro with Gregg Funeral Home in charge.  
The body will lie in state at the home until time for the services.
