He retired from the Air Force as a senior master sergeant, having served in the Army Air Corps in World Ward II and in the Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Born at Rison, March 12, 1919, he was a son of Joseph and Edith Bowerman Beason and was a member of the Rison United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Faye Jenkinson Beason: two daughters, Anne Handley and Debra Lee of Covina; two brothers, Joseph "Buck" Beason of Houston, Texas, and Bobby Tucker of Rison; a sister, Glendyl of Apple Valley, California, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Buie Funeral Home chapel in Rison, conducted by Rev. Richard Oliver, and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery here with Buie Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. ************************************************************************
