NATHAN VARDELL Nathan VARDELL, Paragould, was born in St. Louis, MO, August 30, 1954 son of Lee and Billie VARDELL. He died in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould, Sept. 21, 2008. He was 54. A fork lift operator and member of the Church of Christ, he married Yuton (PARKER) VARDELL, May 30, 1999. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Allen VARDELL, Don VARDELL and Shawn VARDELL, all of Paragould; one uncle, Paul VARDELL of Paragould; five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Billie VARDELL; daughter Carissa Lynn VARDELL; brother Wendell NUNLEY; three sisters Carissa, Peggy and Sheryl VARDELL. Funeral services were conducted in ERMERT Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, Sept. 24th, 2008 with Owen EVANS officiating. GARY PHELAN Gary PHELAN, Corning, was born in Ann Arbor, MI, April 9, 1948, son of Lon and Mary Ann PHELAN. He died in his home Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008. He was 60. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a teacher at Corning High School for many years and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors include two nephews, Scott SHARPE, Paragould and Gary Don SHARPE, Corning; two nieces, Jeri Lynn SWANN, Piggott and Cindy FRANS, Jonesboro; one brother-in-law Jerry SHARPE, Corning. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sally SHARP. Funeral services were Tuesday morning in the chapel of ERMERT Funeral Home. Burial in Corning Cemetery. MAXIE LUTTRELL Maxie LUTTRELL, Poplar Bluff, MO, was born in Knobel January 24, 1941 son of Jess and Leona LUTTRELL. He died in Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Friday, Sept. 19, 2008. He was 67. An employee of the lumber industry and member of Green Forest Church of Christ. He married Carolyn Sue HANNER Oct. 21, 1962. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Cardinal baseball. Survivors are one son, Brock LUTTRELL, Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Connie LUTTRELL and Eddie LUTTRELL both of Knobel; two sisters Mary Ann SIRCLOUMB and Patsy STEPHENS both of Rockford, IL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Carolyn Sue LUTTRELL; two brothers, Coleman LUTTRELL, and Bob LUTTRELL; two sisters Imogean HAYDEN and Bernice LUTTRELL. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 in the chapel of ERMERT Funeral Home with Chad WANGER officiating. Burial in Hosea Cemetery, Knobel, under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. GENE HARMON Lendell Eugene "Gene" HARMON, Irondale, MO, was born in St. Louis, MO, Oct. 15, 1952. He died in St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis, Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. He was 55. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was retired from Branch 2 Parts as manager for Shipping Utilities, Inc. On Dec. 4, 1982 he married Joni Lynn KERCHER in Irondale, MO and she survives. Other survivors are his mother, Christine NISWONGER BURTON, Corning; father Lindell D.
