SLOAN, 81, Former Teacher, Dies Marvin Andrew Sloan, aged 81, of Arkadelphia died Saturday. He had been a teacher for 32 years and was Clark County Tax Assessor from 1951 to 1955. He was a former Sunday School Director of Trinity Methodist Church. He was a member of Arkadelphia First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Mattie Neel Sloan, a son, Marvin R. Sloan of Louisiana, two daughters, Mrs. Doris Robertson of Arkadelphia, and Mrs. Wanda Morris of Fort Smith. Three stepsons; Hubert, Garl and Bill Neel of Arkadelphia. Two brothers, Ervin Sloan of Missouri and Auby Sloan of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Ferguson of Tennessee and Mrs. Green Thompson of Arkadelphia.. and a half-brother, Hall Green of Hope, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery. Wanda J.
