HARRY AUSTIN ROWE, CO-OP MANAGER AND CHURCH LEADER, DIES Arkadelphia-- Harry Austin (Aute) Rowe, 64, of Hollywood (Clark County) manager of the South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative, died today, August 27, 1969. A native of Clark County, he had been associated with South Central Arkansas Electric since 1941. He became acting head of the cooperative in 1946 and was named manager two years later. Prior to that time, he was bookkeeper for two agricultural gin operations at Tahoka, Texas and had farmed and raised cattle near Arkadelphia and at Tahoka. He was a director and past president of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. a Deacon and Trustee of the Trinity Methodist Church and a Trustee of the Davidson Methodist Campground both near Arkadelphia. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Alma Harper Rowe; a son, Jimmy Eugene Rowe of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Mrs. Martha Ann Morgan of Murfreesboro and Mrs. Judith Kay King of Greenville, Mississippi; a brother, W.L. Rowe of Tahoka, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Houston of Arkadelphia and Mrs. Elizabeth Ehlert and Miss Emma Faye Rowe both of Selma Alabama, and six grandchildren.
