SANFORD PENNINGTON The Rev. Sanford Pennington, aged 79, a well known Methodist Minister of South Arkansas, died at his home 10 miles west of Arkadelphia on Wednesday morning of last week. The deceased was born in Tennessee, but spent nearly all his life in Clark County, having been brought here by his parents, when a child. With farming as his occupation, he did much and lasting good in his community as a local Methodist Minister. Mr. Pennington was married three times, and is survived by his widow and five children, Mrs. E.W. Rowe, D.J. Pennington, Mrs. Eugene Cox and Mrs. Cliff Thompson of this county, and H.W. Pennington of Tahoka, Texas and one sister Mrs. Dr. Andrews of Hope. Funeral services were held at New Hope Church at 11 o'clock Thursday morning conducted by the pastor, the Rev. R.W. Groves assisted by Rev. E.T. Miller and W.H. Tarver. Sanford Pennington was my Great Grandfather. Wanda Karnes ****************************************************************************
