Gum Springs, Clark County, AR, 12 Jul 1912, d. Oakland, CA, 14 Aug 1999. He was the son of Charlie Crawford and Georgie Anna ATKINSON DANIEL. He attended the Gum Springs Elementary School and completed his education at Peake High School in Arkadelphia, Clark, AR. He married Jimmie Mae JOHNSON, daughter of Robert and Ballie SEAWOOD JOHNSON, of Hollywood, Clark County, AR, on December 3, 1939. To this union was born one son, Charles E. Daniel, who preceded him in death, and two daughters, Doris and Stella. He was drafted into the Navy in 1943 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1945. The family moved to California in November, 1948. He was a faithful member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Oakland, CA, and active in Sunday School and the Men's Chorus. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jimmie Johnson Daniel, two daughters, Doris and Stella, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers: Eric Daniel, Shawn Daniel, Rodney Cornist, Robert L. Daniel, Jr., Percy Woods and Clayborn Madison. Honorary pallbearers, Calvin Johnson and Apter Daniels.
