John E. Cash Sep. 23, 1876 Arkadelphia Southern Standard

Mr. J. E. Cash, a most excellent citizen of our county, died at his
residence on Monday last, after a very brief illness. He was in town on
Saturday, and went home with a chill on him, and on Monday was a 
corpse.
He was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
