H. BoBo farm, near Clear Springs, in Terre Noir township, was the scene of a tragedy last Saturday morning, when Mrs. Will Baird, wife of a farm tenant, cut her throat with a razor, dying almost instantly. Her windpipe was severed. A physician was summoned but the woman was dead when he reached the scene. No reason for the act was given. According to members of the family she was preparing vegetables for dinner with her mother-in-law, when she arose; went to her room, obtained the razor, and cut her throat. She is survived by her husband and seven children. Daily Sifting Herald 1932 My name is Mary Smith granddaughter of Mrs. Will Baird (Mary Ellen Baird was her full name.)
