   Miner, 39, Hurt Three Years Ago, Dies in Hospital Elbert C. Jones of Commerce, 
whose back was broken over three years ago in a mine accident, died at 11:59 
o'clock last night at Miami Baptist Hospital.   He was 39 years old. Since he 
received the injury, the Commerce man has spent most of the time at the local 
hospital.
   Surviving him are his wife Mae Jones, three daughters Clorine, Nadine and
Annetta, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Jones of Berryville, Ark.; 
five brothers, Claud Jones of Harrison, Ark., Arlie Jones of Skiatook, Ray Jones 
of Corpus Christi, Tex., Noel Jones of Miami, Route 1, and Mace Jones of Columbia, 
Kas., Route 5; and three sisters, Mrs. Flora Cox of Talequah, Mrs. Maud Lee of 
Berryville, Ark., and Mrs. Pansy Boatright of Green Forest, Ark.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God church 
in Commerce. The Rev. Harry Rogers will officiate.   Burial will be at G. A. R. 
Cemetery under the direction of Mitchelson Funeral Home.
