He was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Portales, N.M., to Delmas Dee and Edith Elsie Brown Stidham. He was a life resident of the Hiwasse area and enjoyed woodworking and repairing cars. He was preceded in death by one daughter. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Stidham of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Stidham and Jackie of Decatur; two step-grandchildren; six brothers. Carl Stidham of Brawley, Calif., Harlon Stidham and Earlon Stidham, both of Hiwasse, David Stidham of Gravette, Billy Joe Stidham of Decatur, Raymond Stidham of Bentonville; seven sisters, Fern Brinkley and Islamae Arnold, both of Gravette, Doris McDougal of Haskell, Texas, Sue Boling of Hiwasse, Kay Russow of Gravette, Betty Hendricks of Hiwasse and Edith Phillips of Rogers. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hiwasse Baptist Church with George McBride officiating.
