All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Edith Elsie 'Brown' Stidham Febraruy 1991 The Morning News OBITUARY OF EDITH ELSIE STIDHAM Edith Elsie Stidham, 77, of Hiwasse died Feb. 7, 1991, at St. Mary Rogers Memorial Hospital, She was born Oct. 2, 1913, at Yancy, Mo., the daughter of Charles Mosie and Susie J. Buffer Brown. She was a house wife and a Hard-Shell Baptist. Her husband, Delmas D. Stidham, preceded her in death in 1984. Survivors include seven sons, Carl Stidham of Brawley, Calif., Earlon Stidham, Harlon Stidham, Lawrence Stidham and Billy Joe Stidham, all of Hiwasse, David Stidham of Gravette and Raymond Stidham of Bentonville; seven daughter, Mona Fern Brinkley, Islamae Arnold and Kay Russow, all of Gravette, Doris McDougal of Fremont, Neb., Sue Boling of Hiwasse, Betty Hendricks and Edith Phillips, both of Gentry; two brothers, Arthur Brown, of Cyril, Okla. and Henry Brown of Tecumseh, Okla.; five sister, Opal McKnight of Phoenix, Ariz., Ellen Scott and Lottie Smith, both of Cyril, Marjorie Miller of Anadarko, Okla., and Geneva Harris of Cement, Okla.; 43 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Hiwasse with the Rev. Tommy Haley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
