L. M. Christian officiating. Burial was at the Second Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Mr. Brown died Thursday, July 3, at Ashley County Convalescent Center in Wilmot. He was a native of Farmerville, La. and a resident of Wilmot for several years. He was a retired farm laborer and a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Della Brown; one son, Robert Morrison of Kansas City, Mo.; one step-son, A.J. Jones of Bastrop, La.; one brother, Curtis Brown of Pasadena, Calif.; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers were the deacons of Second Baptist Church. DENNIS FRISBY SR. **************** Funeral services for Dennis Eugene Frisby, Sr., 53, of El Dorado were Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg with the Revs. Charles Miller and Tommie Sutherlin officiating. Burial was at Green Grove Cemetery in Strong. Mr. Frisby died Wednesday, July 9, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. He was a native of Union County, a construction worker and a member of Grace Christian Center in El Dorado. Survivors include his wife, Dovie Moring Frisby; one son, Gene Frisby of El Dorado; father, Lester Wallen Frisby Sr. of Crossett; and one sister, Dorothy Green of Hollywood, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Wallen Frisby Jr. Pallbearers were Scott Mendenhall, Dennis Stewart, James Cook, Bob Neeley, Johnny Sawyer and Michael Frisby. WILLIE GULLETTE *************** Graveside services for Willie Carl Gullette, 70, of Wilmot were held Friday, July 11, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. W. L. Plummer officiating. Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg was in charge of arrangments. Mr. Gullette died Thursday, July 3, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. He was a native of Ashley County and a retired auto mechanic. Survivors include two sons, Willie Gullette Jr. of Parkdale and Berry Gullette of Oakland, Calif.; and two daughters, Burna Gullette of Wilmot and Sharon Gullette of San Francisco, Calif. HENRY HINES *********** Funeral services for Henry W. "Buster" Hines, 82, of Warren were held Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Frazer Funeral Home of Warren with the Revs. Bob Meggs and Cliff Mayton officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Hines dies Thursday, July 10, at Bradley County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired planer mill employee of Potlatch Corp. and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Buney Burns Hines; one son, Henry "Sonny" Hines of Bryant; three daughters, Belvie Courtney of Warren, Bonnie Mann of Hermitage and Carolyn Farmer of Crossett; two brothers, Charlie Hines of Hermitage and Alalen Hines of Warren; two sisters, Bertha Howsen of Warren and Velma Green of Star City; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Garvin Hines and Herman Hines; and three sisters, Leola Belin, Eunice Green and Lucy Wilkerson. Pallbearers were Brad Hines, Brady Hines, Kenneth Mann, Brian Farmer, Stuart R owell and Roger George. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Donnie Bryant, Hugh Allen Quimby, Dr. Joe H. TAVARES JENKINS *************** Funeral services for Tavares Montrel Jenkins, 20, of Wilmot were held Monday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Wilmot with the Rev. J. D. Crockett officiating. Burial was at Jim Smith Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Mr. Jenkins died tuesday, July 8, at his residence. A native of Ashley County, he was a 1995 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Hamburg. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Charles and Verlinda Kitchen; father, Lee Edward Brown, all of Wilmot; and one step-brother, Robert Charles Kitchen of Wilmot. Pallbearers were Bill Kitchen, Carlos Bass, Nathan Whitaker, Charles Raino, Cleveland Parker and Robert E. "Rocky" Kitchen. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Class of 1995 of Hamburg High School. ELI PLATT ********* Graveside services for Eli David Platt, 69, of Crossett were held Tuesday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Titsworth officiating. Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Platt was found dead at his residence Monday, July 14. A native of Norphlet, he had been a resident of Crossett for the past year, a resident of Bastrop, La. for 10 years and was a former resident of El Dorado. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a licensed Southern Baptist minister and attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He was also a graduate of Le Tourneau School of Technology with a degree in electricity. Survivors include one brother, Donald Platt of DeWitt; one sister, Maurine Bringman of Chestertown, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Platt. FRANK TUCKER ************ Funeral services for Frank R. Tucker, 84, of Hamburg were held Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Hutsell and Pat Wilkerson officiating. Burial was at Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Jones uneral Home of Hamburg. Mr. Tucker died Wednesday, July 9, at Ashley Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Hamburg, he was a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church, worked for the State Forestry Department for 22 years and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Connie Shelton and Linda Tucker; one brother, Fred McCone, all of Hamburg; four grrandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Bays Tucker; two daughters, Reba Tucker and Kathy Harrison; two brothers, John D. and Harry Tucker; and two sisters, Beatrice Tucker and Corean Yeatman. Pallbearers were Chester Rosen, Roy Rodgers, Rusty Matthews, Robert Shelton, Rusty McCone and Burl Toler.
