Owen Daughety, 50 acres, Grant No. 579
Entered 1 May 1788 - Issued 20 Dec 1791
On south side of Neuse River
State of North Carolina - No. 579. Know ye that we have granted unto Owen
Daughety fifty acres of land in our county of Craven on the south side of
Neuse river and west side of the meadow beginning at a pine Box and West
corner and runs with West line north thirty west one hundred and nine poles
to again Daniel West corner then with Smiths line south fifty five west
forty poles to a hickory stake in Daniel Daughetys old field then south one
hundred and three poles to a pine then south twelve east thirty one poles
to Boxs line then with his line to the beginning. To hold to the said Owen
Daughety his heirs and assigns forever dated the 20th day of Dec'r 1791.
