His Wife Mary, And Twelve Children As Named In His Will: Margaret George Leonard Brina John Daniel Jean Samuel C. Crate Christianna Andrew Elizabeth Our pioneer ancestor came from Germany on the ship Adventure, landing at Philadelphia where he took The oath of allegiance September 23, 1732. He came to North Carolina about 1747 and later Established a home about two miles northwest of here.
