These high-steppers were pictured some sixty years ago in Orrick. Wilbur Perdue (back) ran a jewelry store in Orrick and later became sheriff of Ray County. At left is Gene Ellis, at right, sporting the derby that wowed the ladies is Hoyt Elrod and in front is Elmo Perdue, brother of Wilbur.
