They immigrated in abt 1847 from County Cork, Ireland and are believed to have settled in Missouri where they had other family. In 1860, their daughter Mary E married Martin King in Boston, MA. 1920 census data on two of Mary E's daughters listed Missouri as place of birth for their mother, but was listed in the 1880 census, for Mary E in MA, as born in Ireland. As a result, I believe that Mary E spent her youth in Missouri with her family, but I have not located the family in the 1850 census, as yet.. Hope to hear from anyone that has seen these names or is descended from this family. mailto:Gunningtj@aol.com-Tom Gunning--Mon Feb 16 10:25:22 1998 Rose; Roller, Baker Seeking family Aaron F. What I've been told is that from 1842 to 1849 they *definitely* were in Missouri, but not before 1836 (when they were in Illinois) and not after 1855 (by which time they were in Texas). Five of their six children were born in Missouri between 1842 and 1849: Sidney, Alexander, Sampson, James, and Martha. Their eldest, who came with them from Illinois, was named Marion. My informant says when the family turned up in Texas in 1855 they did not have Marion with them. Marion is also my father's name. Although he was born in Iowa, *his* father, Ward Orr McGehee (1896-1975) was born in Missouri but I'm uncertain which county. But if any additional iformation is out there about the elder Marion who may have remained in Missouri when his parents and younger siblings moved to Texas, it will be very helpful in determining whether he is, as I now suspect, my great-great- grandfather. mailto:mcgehee@mosquitonet.com-Kevin McGehee--Fri Jan 30 15:41:01 1998 Thompson; I am trying to locate information on M.
