The MOLLYJOGGERS
Springfield, Missouri

The MOLLYJOGGERS is a hunting and gun club based in Springfield Missouri. These photographs were taken about the late 1800's of the member's and I can only identlfy one person, Cyrus Patterson, but would like to know who the others are. If anyone knows who they are please send me (Susan Welsh) their names and what photo they are in.

My 2nd cousin had mentioned to me that the family, somehow, was related to Cyrus Patterson. She (my cousin) had a book titled "The Mollyjoggers" that Cyrus Patterson was spoken of in and that her father had been named after him. Anyway, I began a search, this is what I have learned.

Cyrus H. Patterson was born in Allegheny (now Pittsburgh) Pa., in 1842. He married in 1871 I believe, Sarah L Duvall (Sarah is the sister of my great-grandmother, he name being, Laura Ann Duvall McKain) they then moved to Missouri. Cyrus was a house painter and as it says in "The Mollyjoggers" like to paint the town also. That is the extent of my knowledge. I am trying to track down death dates and burial cites for Cyrus and Sarah Patterson.
