I recently found out that a member of my family (George Rymal b. September 1834) who seemed to "disappear" from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada after 1851 census re-appears in 1870 census of Caldwell County, Missouri. He and his family are found in 1880 and 1900 census of Hamilton, Caldwell county and then they disappear from Missouri census. It appears that his wife (Margaret E. Rymal b. about 1840) died between 1880 and 1900 census and I image that he may have died shortly after the 1900 census (he was 65 years old). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My wife's ggrandparents were from Caldwell county. His name was Charles Holcomb, her name was Cecilia Ellen Wonseller. They had at least two children: Albert C. Holcomb and a daughter named Grace or Gracie. Albert was born April 2, 1874 and Grace was born after 1880 but before 1900 sometime. In the 1880 Census there are two Charles Holcombs with wives named Ellen with sons named Albert born within a few months of each other. One Charles lived in Lincoln township and the other lived in Kingston township. My thinking is that the Charles in Lincoln township is the correct one. Does anyone know of a list in that area that might help clear up this question? Thank you for any assistance.

My grandfather, Lawrence J. Kessinger (LJ), was born near Breckenridge in 1877, his father was Galson K. who died about 1891. Grandpa also mentions living in Catawba, where the post office was abandoned long ago, his grandfather was Samuel and there is mention that he, Samual, owned a place along Shoal Creek. There is also mentioned that Galson bought the "Fahy" place. The school they attended was at Nettleton. According to writings in my possession, LJ's mother was a Swann who had a brother named Ed. The family lived in Mooresville, his mother died June 22, 1892. LJ, Ira, Lee, Roy, Oscar and Ina were placed in various homes after their mothers death, Ira with Henry Weaver, Lee with mr. Lederle (friend of Uncle Ed), Roy with Sam Will, Oscar and Ina with Uncle Mace and Nace. LJ was placed with Darr Judd of Hamilton. Galson had a sister named Betty who married N.B. Wills another sister is mentioned as marrying Woodson Ramsey. Samuel may have been married twice as there is mention of two "half sisters of Galson" there was also a brother they called Uncle Jim who lived in Independence. I would be interested in any of the above names that appear in the book of index mentioned.
