I am trying to find out if anyone knows of any records for the Boys' Orphanage
that was in operation in Minneapolis in 1920. There is a listing on the 1920
Census for Carl Hatcher age 11 would these records show his deceased parents?
Thank you.

I am searching for information about my great Aunt. I do not know her first
name. She came over from France and she and her husband whose last name was
Moore lived in Minneapolis Minnesota in Hennepin County. I am not certain
of their children's names. Possibly one daughter's name was Josie. I have
a brief note from a Josie Smith who could have been their daughter. I would
appreciate any help any one could give me on this family.

I want any information available about Eric/Erik/Erick Carlson/ Carlsson/Karlsson
who was born in Öja, Småland; Sweden on the 26th of June 1884
and whose parents were Gustaf Carlsson and Martha (born Eriksson). He came
to USA around 1908 probably from Switzerland. He lived in Grafton; Worth
co, Iowa in 1918. Here he was registered for World War I. He still was in
Grafton in Nov 1918 when he wrote a letter to his sister Esther Carlsson
in Sweden. He probably moved from Grafton and it is possible that he is identical
with an Eric Carlson (according to the 1920 census) who lived on Beard Avenue
in Minneapolis together with Ruth Carlson (born Knutsson?). This Erick Carlson
worked as a Railway Road checkclerk.

SCHMIDZ: (I am posting this for a friend who does not have a computer.) Seeking
information about Katherine SCMIDZ. She was valedictorian of her Central
High School class in the 1930's. Her parents kicked her out of their home
when she became pregnant out of wedlock. She had a daughter, and later became
ill, and asked a family to adopt her daughter, but she lived long enough
to see her daughter graduate from high school. She died sometime in the 1960's
in St. Paul. Her family may have attended St. Luke's Catholic Church on
Lexington, and she may be connected to Edward & Ida (Jansen) SCHMIDZ,
or to Phillip Leo SCMIDZ, who also attended St. Luke's. Need family medical
information. Please contact via this email address:

"A Girl Named Helen" In about 1930 my great grandparents, George and Etta
Moore took in a little foster girl named Helen. She lived with the Moores
until the death of Etta Moore in 1944 and then no one in the family knows
what became of her. Helen was just a baby when she was taken in by George
and Etta, so we can assume she was born in 1929 or 1930. Other than that
there is no information known about her. I have several pictures of Helen
and I'm sure that she, or her family if she has any, would love to have them.
It's sad to think that Helen had to grow up not having any baby pictures
of herself to share with her children and grand- children. I would love to
see her have them. Claudia Schuman
