Tombstone Photographs

Church Cemetery, is located in Section 33 of Tallmadge Township, 26th Avenue, Grand Rapids.
Cemetery location provided by the Library of Michigan.

From Loekie Boersma (loekie@sbcglobal.net): "The cemetery parcel was sold to the township on October 2, 1850 by Bethuel Church living in section 33 with his family. The cost to the township was five dollars ( $ 5.00 ).

In 1999 my husband and I restored the cemetery by repairing the broken stones and resetting the same. The large family monument was also repaired and re-set.

The complete explanatory volume was finished in June 2000 and a copy is available in the Ryerson, Herrick, State Library of Michigan (Lansing), and at the Tallmadge Township town hall on Leonard Street between 8th Ave. and 24th Ave. Title is: " Restoration of the Church Cemetery, Section 33, Tallmadge Township, Ottawa County, Michigan - June - October 1999 "
