Information on Olmsted County:

The county was established under territorial government In the year 1855, but was not organized into townships until 1858. Rochester is the county seat.  Townships are: Quincy, Rock Dell, Cascade, New Haven, Salem, Eyota, Elmira, Oronoco, High Forest, Marion, Farmington, Rochester, Orion, Haverhill, Kalmar, Dover, Pleasant Grove, Viola.
