Veranda Hotel 1857 - 1926


Built in 1857 on Lot No. 40, present day Abbeville City Hall

The hotel was originally begun as a parish courthouse. The plan to construct a courthouse on the property was abandoned and the property and partially-built building was sold to a private citizen, who constructed the Veranda Hotel.
