Family Bible of Henry Callaway Barron

      The following is the information recorded on the family pages of the Bible belonging to Henry Callaway Barron and his three wives. Henry was the son of Henry Barron and Sarah Callaway. His birth occurred in Upson County Georgia, but while he was still a young child his parents migrated west into the State of Alabama. In 1852, Henry moved with his parents from Tallapoosa County Alabama to the banks of Corney Bayou, some few miles south of Spearsville in northwestern Union Parish Louisiana. Henry served along with his brother James and brother-in-law Alexander Wilson Upshaw in Company I, 31st Louisiana Infantry, Confederate States Army.
