Josiah and Nancy farmed in the Mt. Pisgah area. They were enumerated in the Parmleyville district during the 1900 federal census. Brief Bio: * Josiah Lewis Walters was born 15 June 1857 in Russell County, KY. His parents were Lewis P. Walters and LucyAnn (McGowan) Walters. Later in life Josiah also used the name Joseph Lewis Walters. * Nancy Emmarine Foster was born 02 August 1859 in Wayne County, KY. Her parents were William Foster and Malissa (Anderson) Foster. Nancy often used the name Emma, a shortened version of her middle name of Emmarine. Josiah and Nancy were married in the home of her parents on 09 November 1876. * Pictured in front row from left to right: Izetta, Josiah (father), Ivan, Nancy (mother) * Pictured across the back row from left to right: Addison (Addie), Marcus (Marc), Martha, Granville, LuVada (Vada), John Anderson (Andy), Myrtlee, Evertha (Bertha or Bert), James. It is said that all eleven children were delivered by the same mid-wife.
