Antioch Cemetery is the churchyard of the no longer existing Antioch Methodist Episcopal Church. It was the very first Methodist church in Union County and dates from either 1816 or 1820. According to the cemetery sign, the cemetery dates from 1820. Antioch is located about 3 miles west of Morganfield, one mile off highway 56 at the intersection of Antioch road and county road 1594 .

We would like to give a big Thank You to Mr. James Blue, of Henderson, for his transcription of Antioch Cemetery that he made in 1988. He allowed Claudette Hope to send it to me, for online use. Thank You Mr. Blue for the transcription and Thank You Claudette for asking, scanning and sending the cemetery in to the Tombstone Project.

Update: I visited this cemetery June 20, 2002 to take photos. I have several photos of stones, whose name did not appear here originally. All names marked with an asterick ( * ) are names that were not on Mr. Blue's list, but that I found when taking pictures. Misc or unknown photos are listed first, then the cemetery is in alphabetical order.
