DEED: Breeden, 1797, Shelby Co submitted by "Phyllis Hill" SHELBY COUNTY, KENTUCKY DEEDS, Book A, page 90 BRECKINRIDGE to BREEDEN This indenture made the fourth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred & ninety Seven Between Alexander Breckinridge & Jane his wife of the County of Jefferson and State of Kentucky of the one part and Richard Breeden of the County of Shelby and State aforesaid of the other Witnesseth that the said Alexander Breckinridge and Jane his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of eighty four pounds twelve shillings Current money to them in hand paid by the said Richard Breeden the receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge Have given granted bargained sold & confirmed unto the said Rich'd Breden his Heirs and Assigns one certain Tract or parcel of land containing by estimation two hundred and eleven & a half Acres and twelve pole lying in Shelby County on Plumb Creek being part of a two thousand and hundred and twenty five Acre Survey Patented in the name of the said Alexander Breckinridge and bounded as followeth Viz: Beginning on the North bank of Plumb Creek at two hickory saplins and small Blue Ash, thence East one hundred and eighty six poles to a White Oak, Ironwood & elm thence West One hundred and eighty six poles to a Hickory Elm and dogwood on a Ridge & in a line of a 5000 acre Survey made in the name of Samuel Beall, thence on the South One hundred and eighty two poles to the Beginning. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract of land hereby bargained & sold with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Richard Breeden and his Heirs and Assigns to their proper use and behoof forever. And the said Alexander Breckinridge for himself and his heirs the said Tract of land with the appurtenances unto the said Richard Breeden shall and will forever Warant & defend against himself and his Heirs & against all and every other person or persons claiming by, from or unto them.
