BAKER, CASTEEL, DALTON, GABBARD, MARCUM, MCDANIEL, TRUETT posted by Rhonda Rose
Hi!  My great-grandfather was named Daniel Boone BAKER.  He was called Himmie BAKER, no one knows why.  He married my great-grandmother, Malinda CASTEEL TRUETT DALTON in 1899 in Jackson County and lived there until his death in 1932.  He is buried in York Cemetary.  He supposedly was married before and had a daughter named Lucy who married a MARCUM.  I cannot verify anything but his marriage to Malinda.  Can anyone help?  His son, my grandfather, was Elbert BAKER who married Clemma GABBARD.  They lived in Jackson County too.  This is where my father, Robert, was born.  There is a rumor in the family that Daniel's father was Alexander MCDANIEL. Once again, I cannot verify anything.  Please e-mail me if you can give me any information, no matter how small.  Thanks.
