Jane MacDONALD. These are my great, great grandparents.
The FLINCHUMS had a sawmill in Jackson County. I think
McKee. Their daughter, Louisa, married John BURNHAM in
McKee. One of their daughters, Mary, my grandmother,
married Fred CORNELIUS, who later became a member of KY
legislature and fathered the free textbook bill that gave
Ky schoolchildren free textbooks. John BURNHAM'S father,

Illinois in 1829) hs led me to Kentucky. I have learned
that both Preston's parents were born in Kentucky. The
father, I believe, was named James Asa. I do not know the
name of his mother. In place names in Kentucky I find an
Asa Flats Church in Jackson County. I also find an Asa
Creek and an Asa Station in Johnson County. Long shot but

a daughter named Lucy who married a MARCUM.  I
cannot verify anything but his marriage to Malinda.
Can anyone help?  His son, my grandfather, was
Elbert BAKER who married Clemma GABBARD.  They lived
in Jackson County too.  This is where my father,

was a deputy in Hazard, KY where he shot and killed a
