1815, possibly in Dickson Co., TN. He moved to Graves County
around 1849 and died there Feb. 16, 1883 He was married to
Margaret Brown July 4, 1860. I'm trying to find out who his

I just read my query of an earlier date on your page and I find
that I made a mistake on
the spelling of one of my surnames. The husband of Sarah WATSON
should be William MOXLEY not Mosely. I am particularlly interested
in finding the name of my ggrandmothers father, who was a Johnson.
In 1860 she is on the Hickman Co. census with her mother, Ann
JOHNSON and brothersWilliam and Marcus. Also there is a Judith Rambo
age 62, that I believe to be the mother of AnnJOHNSON. It
would seem that Ann's husband is dead, but I have found no
documentation of this. Josephine JOHNSN married Nathaniel
MOXLEY in Hickman, Fulton Co. in 1872. They had at least three
children while liveing there: Edward, Judia, and Mary Lela (my
grandmother). Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

WATERS b. Oct 14, 1836 sometime between 1861 and 1865. Mary was the
daughter of Bennett Blackman. She married WILLIAM TAYLOR in Davidson
Co, TN December 11, 1851. She married ANDREW JACKSON WATERS in
Montgomery Co TN on Feb.12, 1857. We have no
record of the marriage to MALLORY. We found Frank and Mary listed in
Graves County Cuba Precinct in 1870 Census as the Frank Mallard family.

I am looking for information concerning Aaron ANDRUSS who married
Martha E. BOYD. They were in the 1850 Graves Co. census but after
that they disappear. Their oldest daughter, Sarah Francis, married
Calvin Luther SNEED in 1855 and they moved to Arkansas.
Martha Boyd was born in South Carolina and I found several Boyd's
on the 1850 census who were born in SC. Wilson Boyd was old enough
to be her father and he was only a few pages away from the Andruss
family in the census.

Surnames I-Z, I found a Thompson query. Part of the query read,
"The Rev. War soldier William Thompson settled after the war in
Mecklenburg Co., NC and later Graves Co., KY, and his brother lived in
TN. He served from Chatham Co., NC. He had another brother John
Thompson who died in 1790 Mecklenburg Co., NC." I was wondering if
anyone in Graves Co. knew this William Thompson or where he was buried.

One clue I have: In the book "Three Years with Quantrell: A True
Story" told by his scout John McCorkle, is the following passage:

I am looking for information on the Charles H. KIRKLAND family.
Charles and wife Emma (maiden name unknown) are shown in the
1880 census of Anderson Co. in Camdenville. Both were shown as
born in Kentucky, but I do not know where. Listed with them is
a son Thomas H. KIRKLAND, I know that the H. stands for Hudson.
Family members "think" that the family was from Mayfield,
Graves Co., Ky., but I have been unable to connect them there.
Charles and family moved to Florida and show up there in 1900
census. Any information or possible leads would be appreciated.

I am looking for info. regarding my grandfather's family.
CLAUD MARCELLUS GOIN was born in Graves Co. to HENRY GOIN
and wife in March, 1887 or 1888. A brother, TAPLEY VAN GOIN
resided in Arlington, Ky. until death in late 1960's. A sister,
DESSIE, lived in Arlington,Ky. for a while. Names of other
siblings are not known, but one brother owned a shoe store in
Millington, Tn. until his death in the 1980's. Another brother
had the initials H.O.G. One of the brothers had a glass eye.
Both HENRY GOIN and wife, also TAP and wife, EMMA GOIN, are
buried in the Arlington, Ky., cemetary. CLAUD GOIN moved to
Perkins, Missouri, in early 1900's; worked on the railroad;
married EVA JANE THOMPSON of Perkins, Mo. After residing in
several locations, died near Sikeston, Mo. in 1964.

My great grandmother was Misie (or Mizie) Jones. She was born, along
with her husband Lon McGuire in Graves County, Kentucky. The problem I
am having is that she was born in 1883 there and she died at the birth of
her 4th child Millie, who was given up for adoption. Millie married D.
G. McElroy. I have information that Mizie died March 4, 1926 in
Tiptonville, Tennessee and is buried in an unmarked grave somewhere
between Memphis and Obion County in a graveyard beside a brick church. I
am looking for her siblings and her parents and onward up. If any one
has any information on this Mizie Jones birth, or etc., please send me an
email and let me know. My grandmother was only about 3 years old when
she died and she doesn't remember her. Lon had remarried to an Effie
McClure and had some children. Effie raised my grandmother as her own.
I would love to find anyone out there looking for a geneaology partner on
