Tax lists in 1838. In that same year he married Rhoda " Rhodie" BROWN. Accoridng to the permission slip included with their marriage certificate she was the d/o of James BROWN. I am related to him through two of his daughhers Alice SCOTT and Ameilia Ann GARNETT. In the 1840,1850,1860 Gallatin Co. censuses, Jacob states his place of birth as NEW YORK and Rhoda states KENTUCKY. They had at least 8 children. I would like to correspond with any one doing research on this family. ___________________________ beckeric@ix.netcom.com Leah Beckerich Dec 31, 1997 I am looking for information on Samuel Woodford SCOTT. He married Alice RIDER, d/o Jacob RIDER and Rhoda BROWN. He was also a witness at some of the marriages of her brothers and sisters. In the 1900 census he is lsited with only his two daughters, Elzabeth K SCOTT and Perline SCOTT. I would be happy to correspond with any SCOTT family researchers. ___________________________
