I ran across another document a few days ago that has Zeurilda (UTZ) marrying Caleb CARPENTER and producing Owen J. CARPENTER in 1854. Caleb is the grandson of Rev William. CARPENTER. I realize that it could be a coincidence that Zeurilda UTZ is the name of both mothers. I also KNOW that Owen J. CARPENTER and Owen Bernard UTZ are NOT the same people. Zeurilda's name was written with the UTZ in the parenthesis. Allen Jan 17, 1998 Seeking the ancestry of Thomas LANE (1808-1898). He was said to have been born in Boone Co., KY. He is believed to be the son of a John LANE of whom I have little information. Thomas LANE moved from Boone Co., KY bu 1833 when he married Nancy BOATMAN (1818-1893) in Macoupin Co., IL. The family rumor is that John LANE was one of five brothers who came from London, England to Norfolk, VA and that he and one of the other brothers came to Kentucky. In the 1800 Kentucky Tax list there were two John LANES , one in Cumnberland Co., KY and one in Montgomery Col., KY. In the 1810 Kentucky tax list there were a lot of John LANES, none of which were in Boone Co., KY. Thomas Lane's children were: Calvin (G.C.) LANE, Dr. Isaac Richard LANE, Dr. John H. LANE, Mary Ann LANE, Agnes Caldona LANE, Jeanette LANE, Dr. Sampson Wright LANE.
