WAUGHTEL/KEITH/VANTREESE/STORMS Date: Fri, 04 Oct 1996 17:32:15 -0700 The above captioned surnames are all intermingled and are direct descendant lines of mine. STORMS married VANTREESE, VANTREESE married KEITH and KEITH married WAUGHTEL. The majority of this was in Jennings, Decatur and Bartholomew counties. Can anyone help with these names. I have never found where John WAUGHTEL is buried, he died in 1932 and resided in Scipio. His 2nd wife Kate survived. His first wife Eliza Ann KEITH died in 1889 at age 34. John & Eliza Ann were my great grandparents. They were the parents of my grandfather Rome WAUGHTEL, his brothers Ora, Clem & Roy (Elroy), sisters Janet & Antoinette. Statement at hospital where Eliza Ann died stated she was mother of 7 children, youngest 6 weeks old. John's obit in 1932 states he had 5 sons of first marriage. Who was the other son, Homer who was taken in by the JOLLIFFE family, or another we don't know of? What ever happened to Janet & Antoinette. I have birth records, that is only known info on them. Janet born 1882 Antoinette 1884. John & Kate had 6 children. Elizabeth May "Lizzie May" was one and she married a VanMeter/Metre, one named Mamie died young, and there was one named Alice what happened to her? Any information regarding any of the above names is and will be gratefully appreciated. Antoinette Waughtel Sorensen, 3631 North Mullen Street, Tacoma, Washingotn 98407-4124 email - waughtel@oz.net
