MONROE COUNTY Seeking info. re. ancestors named Schwartz (earlier Swartz) Lived in Monroe Cty. around Knight Ridge and Schwartz Rd. Known ancestors incl. John Henry Schwartz (jr. and sr.) and Valentine Swartz. Were prob. mostly farmers. Several descendents of these moved to south side of Indianapolis after 1910. My father was born George Edward Schwartz and later adopted by Collins' after auto/train accident killed parents, John and Pearl (nee Corman). Also seeking info. regarding Corman family ancestors of Pearl (possibly Frank Corman).

Specifically, I have some info. re. family of John Schwartz, Sr. and his son, my grandfather, John Henry Schwartz and his wife Pearl, nee Corman. Jesse HALL, lived out his later life in Monroe Co.,later it was Brown Co. Jesse was b.abt 1785/86 in Wilkes Co.,NC to John HALL (1754-1838) & Barsheba Palmer HALL. After Ashe Co was organized we find them there in 1800. By 1811 Jesse and parents are in Floyd Co.,KY where he married Rebecca FLEETWOOD, dau of Isaac FLEETWOOD. After the death of John HALL in 1838 we find Jesse in Monroe Co.,and the death of Rebecca. In 1841 Jesse married Malinda HANSON dau of James HANSON and Rebecca HANSON. From this union were born more children. It is said that Jesse had about 25 children. Most lived in the Monroe Co.,area. The last was born after his death in 1859. He is buried in Deckard Cem in Brown Cem. Do you know this family? Please help me identify all of the children. Rob Woods
