65) PING, MAYHEW posted 1/1998

I am looking for information on the PING family and the MAYHEW families who lived in Brown County in the 1850's to 1871. My husband's great-great grandmother was Nancy PING. Eventually, she married a Westley MAYHEW. Nancy PING and Westley MAYHEW had Pertle Mayhew SHAW(b. October 02, 1871), Bessie MAYHEW, and Rose MAYHEW. If anyone has information on the PING or MAYHEW families, please e-mail me as soon as possible. Pertle MAYHEW changed his name to SHAW after his first marriage. We don't know if his stepfather was a SHAW, and that is why he changed his name? Thanks! Christina West
